Description[]

The Basic Workshop is one of the essential facilities which repairs weapons put in lockers every in-game day (2 real-time hours). Further upgrades add more benefits such as fully repairing cars or making advanced explosives.
The DLC Lifeline features a different variant of the work area, called the Field Workshop which has a different upgrade path.

- Snyder Trucking Warehouse originally came with a pre-built Machine Shop, giving it the ability to fully repair vehicles. Furthermore, it was capable of creating advanced explosives, unlike normal Machine Shops, however it was downgraded in a later update (due to glitches) and is now only a basic workshop in the main storyline, but not the Breakdown DLC. Also, it doesn't count towards the number of facilities built to unlock Thomas Ritter in Breakdown (like all other pre-built facilities).
- A workshop can only be upgraded to either a Machine Shop or Munitions Shop. Once the upgrade is complete, it is not possible to "downgrade" to select another upgrade.
