- A Wakizashi is a Japanese short sword, similar in appearance to the katana, but with a shorter blade, used as a secondary weapon by samurai. This wakizashi is presumably an o-wakizashi, with a blade length of about 60cm.
- State of Decay was originally intended to have a katana as an available weapon, however, this weapon was cut at some point during development.
- Shark Hoodie Guy starts with this weapon in Breakdown.
