Private First Class Winters is a non-playable character in State of Decay. In the DLC Breakdown, he is a hero character known as K. C. Winters — "The Gunner", given a new description and different skills and traits.
Unlocking the character[]
K.C. Winters is unlocked as soon as the player reaches Level 4 of Breakdown.
Missions involving the character[]
Storyline[]
Winters is a soldier presumably in the US Army or National Guard, stationed across the river during containment, and doesn't make an appearance until near the end of the game. After contracting Black Fever, Winters was left behind when the military pulled out. Before dying he manages to inform Erik Tan about the water contamination.
Trivia[]
- In the Breakdown DLC, he carries an M27 IAR. An automatic rifle typically only used by the real-life US Marine Corps.
Bugs[]
When the mission "Lone Soldier" is active and one of your allies is under attack Pfc. Winters comes over the radio and says "Dude, help, please".
