Oklahoma is located in the central United States. It is located north of Texas, the northwestern panhandle of it is located northeast of New Mexico, west of Arkansas, south of Kansas, and the northwestern panhandle of it is located southeast of Colorado. Oklahoma is part of several geographic zones including the Great Plains and Interior Highlands.
The state capital is Oklahoma City, located in the center of the state.
