- For one reason or another, the L85A1's gun model is that of a L85A2. The difference can be identified as the A2 has a comma shaped cocking handle which is exclusive to the A2 and A3 upgrades of the rifle. This is likely a oversight by the 3D modeller.
- The L85A2 has been a standard issue rifle for the British Armed Forces and Royal Marines for over 30 years. From 2007 an upgrade including the provision of ACOGs and later ELCAN LDS scopes (2011 update), a new handguard incorporating Picatinny rails (with optional bipod grip), and a new vortex style flash eliminator was introduced for use.
