- Unlike other type of explosives, when triggered, the mine bounces up before exploding, spraying shrapnels in all directions.
- This mine is based on the WWII-era German anti-personnel S-Mine (nicknamed Bouncing Betty). The real life S-mine detonates at about 3 feet above ground, not head-height as the in-game version.
