Notes[edit | edit source]
- The 416D is based on a variant of the Heckler & Koch HK416, chambered for 5.56×45mm NATO rounds. The HK416 is Heckler and Koch’s entry into the world of piston-driven AR-15s, which have been around since the 1970s. It uses the piston system used in H&K’s G36 series. It has the same layout and battery of arms as the AR platform so the transition from AR to the 416 is almost non-existent. The piston system improves reliability while maintaining the accuracy the AR platform is know for, however it makes the rifle heavier.
- Sergeant Erik Tan starts with this firearm in Breakdown.
